I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your generous contributions ahead of Tuesday’s FEC fundraising deadline.

Once our report goes public, we’ll send an important message about the strength of our campaign. And the best part is we’re doing it with support from individual donors and without taking a cent from corporate PACs like our opponent, David Valadao.

I also wanted to update you on the work I’m doing in Congress on important issues affecting the Central Valley:

» While Trump tried to dismantle the Affordable Care Act (during a global pandemic no less), I proudly voted to pass the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Enhancement Act to strengthen the ACA and expand healthcare coverage.

» The Disadvantaged Community Drinking Water Assistance Act — my bill to help communities dealing with dirty, unsafe water — PASSED the House. This is an incredible win for my constituents, some of whom are paying $150 a month for unclean water.

» I just introduced the Accessible, Affordable Internet for All Act to invest $100 billion in high-speed broadband internet connection for underserved communities.

I want to hammer home the point that none of this is possible without your continued support, Michael. Together, we are improving lives in our Central Valley community and beyond.

I hate deadline emails, so I’m going to do something different.

As you may have heard, Nathan and I are in the middle of a two week quarantine after coming in close contact with someone who tested positive with COVID-19. (By the way, the 19 refers to the year it came into existence, I know that was befuddling for the President!)

Anyway, being stuck at home 24/7 has opened me up to a whole host of new experiences: Candy Crush, Solitaire and Words With Friends. So, this is what I am thinking: donate to my campaign (at any amount) and I’ll start a Words With Friends game with you (if you send me your username)!

More than 50 years ago, the movement for LGBTQ+ equality was born out of protest and Black trans women standing up to police brutality at a place called Stonewall Inn in New York City. Recently, that same movement secured a victory when the Supreme Court ruled in favor of protecting LGBTQ+ people from workplace discrimination. But that landmark victory was won against a backdrop of violence targeting Black trans women and trans women of color.

As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Pride, we also recognize and honor their contributions to the movement for LGBTQ+ equality by speaking the truth that Black Trans Lives Matter. As we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community’s hard-fought progress, we must rededicate ourselves to building a world in which all members of the LGBTQ+ community can live without fear.

Our country has made incredible progress in the fight for full equality, but until every American is treated with equal dignity, no matter who they love or how they identify, our fight must continue.

Resolution Recognizing June as LGBTQ Pride Month:

Earlier this month, Senator Harris joined Senators Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Tina Smith (D-MN), and every one of their Democratic colleagues in introducing a Senate resolution recognizing June as LGBTQ Pride Month. The resolution highlights the contributions LGBTQ individuals have made to American society, notes several major milestones in the fight for equal treatment of LGBTQ Americans and resolves to continue efforts to achieve full equality for LGBTQ individuals. The resolution also recognizes how the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic compounds the systemic inequality that LGBTQ people face in healthcare, employment, and housing in the United States.

Hi, I’m TJ’s wife, Kathy.

I wanted to update you on some things I see happening behind the scenes on an issue I care deeply about: health care.

Since TJ took office, I’ve gotten an inside look at how Congress works. We both knew that change would be hard, but it’s uplifting to see that he’s actually getting things accomplished. Whether it’s fighting Trump’s cuts to Medicare and Medicaid, securing funds for our rural health clinics, or bringing down the cost of prescription drugs, TJ works every day to improve the health of the hard-working families in our district and across the country.

There’s so much more to be done, and I’m looking forward to what can be accomplished in his second term. Can you join me in supporting TJ with a $10 contribution before this week’s end-of-quarter deadline?

As a pediatric ICU physician, I see firsthand the consequences and injustice of our current health care system. One would think this problem is obvious to everyone. It’s not.

We have to fundamentally change the way we address health. We all deserve the opportunity to lead healthy, productive lives. That means policies that ensure those opportunities — like TJ’s Disadvantaged Community Drinking Water Assistance Act (H.R. 5347) that will be voted on this week. We need elected officials like TJ to lead the way on our public health priorities. And we need your help keeping him in office to do just that:
