Brynne jumped in this race because Tom McClintock has misrepresented us long enough, and it’s time to send him home (to his house outside our district).

Since launching, we’ve outraised Tom McClintock by more than double, leading Cook Political Report to change their rating of this race in OUR favor. And now? All eyes are on this race.

Media outlets around California are watching our race because they know what we know: Tom McClintock is nervous he might lose this race. Brynne Kennedy is closer to unseating Tom McClintock than any previous challenger.

Your support is the backbone of this campaign, and Brynne needs us now more than ever. If you want to wake up on November 4th with new representation in Congress, pitch in $5 or more to keep Brynne’s momentum going through the election.

If you’ve saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

This isn’t the first time that Tom’s found himself on everyone’s radar — and not for any good reasons. After all, he wasn’t just leading the effort to undermine the public health measures we needed to safely re-open businesses and schools, he was also the only California Congressman in either party who voted against the first COVID-19 relief bill.

Brynne Kennedy will listen to our medical professionals to keep our district safe and use her vote to protect your family’s well-being. She knows things are tough right now — and she’ll do whatever it takes to stand up for local families.

Chip in $5 or more to send a common-sense representative to Congress who will fight for you and your loved ones through this pandemic. Tom McClintock does not vote in the best interest of our community, and it’s time to send him home.

Thanks for your continued support.

Brynne will be joined by Congressman and Doctor Raul Ruiz for a grassroots fundraising event this Thursday, July 30th.

Brynne Kennedy for Congress

We are so excited to invite you to our special grassroots fundraising event this Thursday, July 30th, at 2:30 p.m. P.T. with Congressman and Doctor Raul Ruiz!

Dr. Ruiz represents California 36th district after unseating a 15-year Republican incumbent. Before serving in Congress, Dr. Ruiz worked as an emergency physician in Coachella Valley. Dr. Ruiz started the Coachella Valley Healthcare Initiative, which brought together regional leaders to fix local health care’s biggest problems in his community. And now, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Ruiz is using his insight as an ER doctor and an experienced legislator to guide his district through this crisis. Hear more about how he has been working in Washington to get our country through the coronavirus on Thursday.

Brynne can’t wait to work alongside Dr. Ruiz in Congress next year, and she’s so excited to have him join us all for this great event!

To R.S.V.P. for this exciting grassroots fundraiser, buy a ticket here! You will receive the Zoom link with your ActBlue receipt.

One. Hundred. Days.

It’s hard to believe, but we are now only 100 days out from Election Day.

These past few weeks alone, we’ve seen this campaign gain momentum like never before. First, we outraised Tom McClintock by 2 to 1. Then, Cook Political Report shifted our race’s rating in our favor.

This wouldn’t have been possible without you and every other member of our grassroots movement — and we’re incredibly grateful for your support.

We’re so close to electing Brynne Kennedy and sending Tom McClintock packing once and for all. But to take the lead in time to hold it and get across the finish line, we need to reach our monthly goal by midnight, July 31st.

Help make this our strongest month ever. Can you chip in $5 or more to help us reach our $15,000 goal?

If you’ve saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

This is an ambitious goal — but it’s also ambitious to take on a 14-year incumbent who has deep campaign pockets (thanks to corporate donors). We might have outraised Tom McClintock all this year, but because of years of accepting corporate PAC checks, he has a cash-on-hand advantage that we have to catch up to.

Meeting our end-of-month goal means more field events, more yard signs, more TV ads… the list goes on and on.

These will give us the visibility and momentum that we need to kick this campaign into high gear — and they could be the deciding factor from now until Election Day.

Tom McClintock and his conservative dark money groups are working hard to keep Brynne out of Congress, but we won’t let that happen. Please chip in $5 or anything you can to help us reach our monthly goal.

Thanks for being a part of the campaign to flip this important seat — we couldn’t have made it this far without your support. Every race ratings change, every poll, every new ad we launch is made possible because of supporters like you.

100 Days to Advance Democracy & Justice

100 Days to Advance Democracy & Justice

I’m launching the Committee for Democracy and Justice!

If you’re like me, you’ve had a 2020 Election Day countdown clock going since the day Donald Trump lost the popular vote, but won the electoral college in 2016.

So today I’m not going to remind you that we’re 100 days from Election Day. But I AM going to remind you that we have a lot of work to do to reverse the past three-and-a-half years of dog whistling, racism, immigrant bashing, misogyny, and voter suppression that threaten communities across our country.

To do my part in fighting back, I’ve launched the Committee for Democracy and Justice. Will you join me and become a founding donor? Click here to be the first to make a contribution of $10, $20, $50 or $100.

Your support will help us campaign for the passage of three important ballot measures that Californians will vote on in November:

Proposition 16 will end the affirmative action ban in California. If passed, we will restore our ability to take proactive measures to create a more inclusive economy by allowing employers and governments to take into consideration race, sex, national origin and ethnicity when hiring and promoting, as well as when they are awarding contracts. It will also empower education institutions to make access to higher education more equitable.

Proposition 17 (Free The Vote) will restore voting rights to 50,000 Californians who have served their time in state prison and have returned to live and work in their communities while on parole. Civic engagement, including participating in our elections, has a very positive impact on reducing recidivism.

Proposition 18 will allow 17-year-olds to vote in primary elections and special elections if they will turn 18 by the next general election.

These three ballot measures are about expanding voting rights at a time when the Trump administration is trying to suppress the vote. They’re about creating a more inclusive democracy at a time when Trump has worked so hard to divide us. They’re about taking substantive steps after the marches and protests to create lasting and meaningful change.

The next 100 days are our last chance to decide what kind of nation we want to be: one where we’re governed by fear, greed, and hate or a land of true opportunity, diversity, and equality — of, by, and for the people.

I know which side I’m on. Please join me. Click here to be one of the first to support the Committee for Democracy and Justice.

Thank you in advance,

Alex Padilla

Real leadership on schools

Brynne Kennedy for Congress

Our country has shown incredible resilience and tenacity in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic over the past several months. This virus and its impact are problems we have to get through together.

But far too often, we’ve been left to our own devices, without the leadership of state and federally-elected officials. We’ve seen too many “one size fits all” tweets and statements from politicians and not enough listening to the frontline professionals on the ground in our communities.

And nowhere is that more apparent than in the convoluted plans to reopen schools this fall.

For months, teachers, students, and families have waited anxiously to hear how schools will safely reopen, seeking guidance on how children can return to learning in a safe environment, and the resources they need to execute locally developed plans.

“Job one for our politicians should be to get to work helping our schools get ready — and fast. That means less talking and tweeting — and more listening and supporting the parents and professionals on the front lines,” writes Brynne in her latest piece on Medium.

As Brynne notes, the failure of our leaders to model safe behavior and provide the resources for facilities, testing, PPE, broadband access, and more that local school leaders need has left us not with a choice of open or closed — but between bad and worse. This disproportionately hurts the most vulnerable students in our community, and it’s why we must act and innovate with urgency, so we aren’t leaving our kids behind.

We need real leaders now more than ever. Leaders who will put hard-working families, educators, and our local communities first. Brynne Kennedy will be that type of leader — read and share her latest Medium piece, “School Reopening — Are We Ready?”

In Brynne, we know we will have a leader who will not leave us waiting for months for answers. She will get to work right away for us all.
