We OUTRAISED David Valadao!

We just got word that in the last three months, our grassroots campaign OUTRAISED Rep. David Valadao in our bid to flip California’s 21st district!

Three things are important to note here:

We outraised Valadao by an incredible margin — $176,448.
.
The vast majority came from small-dollar donors. ZERO from corporate PACs.
.
At $701,467 we’ve officially broken the Democratic fundraising record in CA-21!

I’ll be honest. I never considered running for office before. But after seeing Congress and this administration fight to rip health care from millions and make life harder on working families in the Central Valley, I had to step up. I just had no idea how many people would step up with me.

Valadao’s chances of staying in Congress just took a hit. But if you know the GOP, you know that means more special interest cash, more smear campaigns, and more super PAC spending are headed our way.

SB 17 is working!

Drugmakers across the globe are backing down because of our landmark law to ensure more transparency and accountability from drug corporations. This week, many of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world announced they are canceling plans that would have increased the price of life-saving medication.

Click here to read about SB 17’s success in Bloomberg and the Los Angeles Times.

This is a huge victory, but it’s only the beginning.

As your Lieutenant Governor, I will continue to lead the fight to make healthcare more affordable and accessible, crack down on big pharmaceutical companies for skyrocketing prescription drug costs, and prioritize California’s working families over corporate interests.

Will you chip in $10, $50, $100 or more today to join me in standing up to Big Pharma so I can build on this progress as California’s next Lieutenant Governor?

With your support we will move one step closer to our dream of guaranteed affordable and accessible healthcare for all Californians.

Thank you for standing with me,
Dr. Ed

Trump’s Shameful Performance

*** Alex Padilla has been endorsed for Secretary of State by the CDP ***

Democratic Association of Secretaries of State

President Trump’s press conference today with Vladimir Putin was as disgraceful as it is dangerous.

Trump’s shameful performance today only serves to undermine election officials who are working to secure our free and fair elections from further attacks from Russia.

I am appalled that President Trump would side with Vladimir Putin over our national security and intelligence community. He has completely failed in his obligation to defend and protect American democracy.

If you’re as outraged as I am, then add your name here and denounce Trump for siding with Putin and failing to defend and protect American democracy.

Next, please share this message with family, friends, and colleagues so they too can join our efforts.

We must stand together and denounce Trump for his shameful stance.

Thank you in advance for your action,

Alex Padilla

This week, Trump’s nominee to the Supreme Court has dominated the headlines — and rightly so. Kavanaugh would be a disaster for voting rights in America.

And DASS supporters like you have stepped up again to help our efforts to protect voting rights before the midterms. Today, we need your help to keep delivering our message across the country. Take a look at the top stories from this week and share with your friends.

CA Dems Endorse Our Campaign for U.S. Senate

*** No candidate for U.S. Senate has been endorsed by the CDP ***

I have some amazing news to share:

We made history in Oakland last night when the California Democratic Party officially endorsed our campaign for U.S. Senate.

Earning the endorsement of so many leaders and activists from the California Democratic Party isn’t just an honor and a privilege; today’s vote is a clear-eyed rejection of politics as usual in Washington, D.C.

This endorsement is a tremendous boost to our campaign’s momentum — please chip in $27 right now to keep it going.

Securing 65% of the vote as compared to the 7% cast for my challenger, Senator Dianne Feinstein, provides a clear picture — we have presented Californians with the first real alternative to the worn-out Washington playbook in a quarter century, and they are ready for real change.

I have never been more committed to building a future for our state that works for everyone.

It’s time for a new generation of leadership who will roll up their sleeves and fight to advance a bold agenda; one that forges a path forward, not just for Californians, but for our nation.

As the California Democratic Party’s endorsed candidate, I renew my call for a debate; I welcome the opportunity to discuss the future of our great state in an open dialogue before November 6th.

Help us spread the word about this endorsement and our progressive mission — please contribute $27 right now.

Now we move forward together.

We share in our vision to take back our future — not just from Washington Republicans but from the entire Washington status quo.

To all members of the California Democratic Party, this is your victory.

I look forward to the debates ahead, and to taking our California values to Washington, D.C.

Yours in gratitude,
Kevin
