Worst of the GOP this week

The GOP has thoroughly embraced Trump’s hateful and divisive white nationalist agenda.

With just three days until Election Day, Republicans in California are doubling down on their despicable and hateful rhetoric.

In an interview published on Thursday, Dana Rohrabacher (CA-48) called climate change a “maneuver by very powerful interest groups to create global government.”

Steven Bailey — the Republican nominee for Attorney General — suggested that the immigrants that California’s sanctuary state legislation has protected are “no one but criminals.”

And Steve Knight (CA-25) is highlighting an ad featuring a voter with a long history of posting white supremacist rants and violent threats on Facebook — including that “CNN should face a firing squad.”

It’s almost time to defeat these Republican buffoons at the ballot box on Tuesday. But first, we’ve gotta get out the vote this final weekend. Can you chip in $20.18 or more right now so we can take back the House for Democrats?

These are just three examples of the worst from California Republicans from this past week — but we know that, from top to bottom, the GOP has thoroughly embraced Trump’s hateful and divisive white nationalist agenda.

To continue fighting for our progressive values, it’s crucial that we defeat them and take back the House for Democrats.

We need to come together now. Can you chip in $20.18 or more right now to power our GOTV efforts this final weekend before Election Day?

Thanks for being a California Democrat. Let’s go!

The scariest thing I can imagine…

Let’s put a stop to this Republican nightmare.

Today may be Halloween — but it’s also just six days until Election Day. And right now, the scariest thing I can imagine is waking up on November 7th to a Congress still controlled by Trump’s GOP zombies.

Let’s put a stop to this Republican nightmare. There’s still time for us to make a difference as California Democrats by funneling support to key California House races that need a boost in these final days.

Will you chip in $20.18 or more right now so we can take back Congress for Democrats?

In the latest horrifying news out of this administration, yesterday it was reported that Trump is planning a ludicrous — and unconstitutional — executive order to end birthright citizenship for some U.S.-born children.

Whether or not this executive order is ever implemented (or even released), it’s clear that Trump and his enablers in Congress are only going to amp up their hateful, xenophobic attacks on our immigrant community. And on top of that, Trump just announced that he’ll be sending thousands of troops to the border in an absurd political stunt meant to rile up his white supremacist base before the midterms.

We can’t let the Republican Party’s increasingly dangerous nationalism continue unchecked. We need to end the GOP’s stranglehold on Congress — by taking back the House for Democrats.

Let’s get this done. Chip in $20.18 or more right now, so we can take back the House on Election Day.

Don’t get spooked. Take action.

Democratically yours,

Reminder: Vote Yes On Prop 1 And 2

Dear Fellow Democrats:

We’re in the final days of the election, and I know that we’re heading into November 6th with a lot of passion. We’re fighting for our rights, for equality, and for opportunity all across California. That’s why it’s critical that you remember to vote Yes on Propositions 1 and 2 – two initiatives that will help secure better futures for struggling Californians.

Prop 1 and Prop 2 will collectively invest $6 billion into affordable housing throughout California. Prop 1 will add housing assistance for a number of at-risk groups, including veterans, seniors, working families, disabled individuals, farmworkers, and domestic violence survivors. Prop 2 will specifically help homeless people – or people at risk of being homeless – who are suffering from a serious mental illness get off the streets by building housing connected to mental health services.

Californians all across the state are fed up with housing costs – an issue so severe that one in three people here can’t afford their rent. We’re tired of seeing the most vulnerable among us, especially veterans and those living with mental illness, get forced on to the streets to suffer and struggle.

Prop 1 and Prop 2 give us the power to fight back against this crisis and ensure a better future for us all. It’s time to vote yes on these initiatives!

Democratically Yours,

Eric C. Bauman, Chair
