It’s been another productive week for the CDP, and we have a lot of updates. See below for a recap of the week’s activities.
CADEM.org Announcement from Chair Bauman & Secretary Bach
One of the most frequent… suggestions… we get about the website has to do with the donation request page that has greeted visitors for quite some time now. Chair Eric C. Bauman and Secretary Jenny Bach are happy to announce that from now on, visitors to www.cadem.org will be taken directly to the main page.
We still welcome contributions, and we encourage all our DSCC members to sign up for DEM2018. But Voters looking to our party’s website for information about our values and our candidates shouldn’t be greeted with a donation ask.
We want our website to be useful, and we are happy to take suggestions on how we can keep improving. E-mail your thoughts to editor@cadem.org and staff will make sure they are sent to Secretary Jenny Bach, Chair Eric C. Bauman, and the Communications Department.
Executive Board Meeting
We are excited to announce that, for the first time (barring unforseen circumstances or technical difficulties) we will be livestreaming the Executive Board General Session! The livestream will be broadcast over the CDP’s Facebook page or at CADEM.org. Chair Eric C. Bauman has made increasing the transparency and accessbility of CDP meetings one of our top priorities, and livestreaming General Session so that grassroots Democrats can observe the party’s business is one of the cornerstones of making the CDP more transparent and accessible.

Credentials Committee Special Meeting–8/20/17
On August 7, 2017 an appeal to the order of the CRC affirming Chair Bauman’s election was received by the Credentials Committee. The appeal will be heard by the 2015-2017 Credentials Committee at 11AM on Sunday, August 20, 2017 and will be livestreamed via the CDP Facebook page and on the Chair Race Challenge page at cadem.org. People can also listen to the meeting by conference call by dialing 646-876-9923, ID 238 641 830.
In Case You Missed It
CDP Chair Eric C. Bauman responded to the terrorist attack in Virginia and marked the 82nd anniversary of Franklin Roosevelt’s signing Social Security into law. CDP Political Director Clark Lee introduced us to Senator Josh Newman’s pro-polluter, anti-worker recall opponent.
And CDP Vice Chair Alexandra Gallardo-Rooker & CDP Secretary Jenny Bach commemorated the fifth anniversary of DACA, urging California Democrats to stand up for our fellow Californians who are protected by DACA.
