Don’t be fooled by Donald Trump’s new executive order supposedly on family separations. It’s empty and meaningless.
Because of Trump’s heartless “zero tolerance” policy, there are still some 2,300 children separated from their parents.
We’re ready to take action.
Today we announced we’re suing the Trump Administration, taking them to court for failing to provide any legitimate reasons for such a cruel policy.
I’m worried not just about the health and wellbeing of children distanced from their parents today but about the long-term impact, too.
Along with 10 states, we’re going to court and seeking a process to reunite families as quickly as possible.
Parents in America have the right to be with their children.
