CDP

This has been another productive week for the CDP. See below for a recap of the week’s activities.

El Doradohhhhh!
Big congratulations to the El Dorado County Democratic Party, and El Dorado Chair Lori Anzini, for opening their brand new headquarters! This is great news from one of our soon-to-be-blue counties. The El Dorado Democratic headquarters was funded through the generosity of the local El Dorado County Democrats, and will focus on voter registration, voter education and sending Tom McClintock packing in 2018! A soft opening was held this week to celebrate Halloween, and the formal opening will take place next week. Great work, El Dorado Democrats!

Executive Board Update
The Fall 2017 California Democratic Party Executive Board meeting will be held November 17th-19th in Millbrae. We’re excited to be welcoming Rep. Ted Lieu as our Sunday Keynote speaker! Rep. Lieu has emerged as one of Donald Trump’s most effective and fearless critics, and he is the author of the No First Use of Nuclear Weapons Act of 2017, which the CDP endorsed in August.

Dodger Blue(s)
Well, looks like it will be another year before California can bring home the World Series Trophy, last claimed by our San Francisco Giants. Congratulations to all our CADEM members – including a few of our officers – who waited almost three decades (and in some cases, their entire lives) to see their team compete in the World Series. And a big congratulations to the Los Angeles Dodgers for such a thrilling, memorable season. As we like to say, “On to 2018!”
