Last week I sent a note letting you know why I am running. Now, I’m writing to ask for your help. Our finance director just set a lofty goal for this month, $20,000. That’s more than we have raised before, but reaching our goal this month is critical if we are going to win the primary.
The constituents in this district have been left out of our electoral system for too long. With a political system that values money over votes, it’s no surprise that the low and middle-income families in the district have been ignored.
That’s why this campaign will spend the next five months talking directly to voters about the issues that matter and doing all we can to inspire thousands of new and young voters to get to the polls on Election Day.
