Valley Natives Speak out Against
Devin Nunes
Fresno, CA (August 23, 2018) – Numerous Fresno and Tulare County residents speak out against their Congressman or lack thereof. Link: Devin Nunes: Farmer? Leader? Traitor? A community struggles to define its congressman
Dinuba Farmer Paul Buxman, who is suing Devin Nunes for claiming to be a farmer, tells the story of how Nunes used his farm for a photo opp once and that Nunes should “stop chasing windmills and go back to farming.” See video here: https://www.fresnobee.com/latest-news/article217161265.html
Shirley Kirkpatrick and her family own a citrus farm in the Exeter area and she says that their farm and other local growers have been hurt by Trump’s trade war. She once believed that Nunes’ farming background would have made him a better representative to his farming constituency but is now disappointed that it hasn’t.
Devin Nunes’ high school teacher, Mary Haven who has voted for Nunes in the past, has spoken out against him and wrote a letter of complaint to his office even though she knows it will just get thrown away.
Lifelong Republican Armen Devejian, who worked for George W. Bush, is also fed up with Devin Nunes and says that he’s disappointed that the Republican party has left him and other Conservatives behind.
Thankfully, the people of California’s 22nd Congressional District have another alternative.
“It’s not surprising to me that Tulare and Clovis residents have to speculate and guess about Devin Nunes since he hasn’t shown his face in this district for a long time. I’m proud to be hosting public events up and down the Central Valley to give voters an opportunity to make their voices heard for the first time in years,” Andrew Janz said.
These complaints are backed by a recent poll that shows Andrew Janz and Devin Nunes tied in the race for Congress in California’s 22nd Congressional District.
