Happy Teacher Appreciation Day!
Teacher Appreciation Day is not only an acknowledgement, but a celebration of our hard-working educators across the state and across the nation.
Teachers help make up the backbone of our great country. Educators are required to be not only experts in their field, but also display patience, caring, and practice selflessness on a daily basis. The role of educator is not a 9-to-5 job. It is a round-the-clock undertaking, accompanied by late nights and early mornings.
So, to all of our teachers, we applaud your willingness and resolve in educating the next generation of scientists, businessmen and businesswomen, doctors, artists, and of course, teachers!
In addition, thank you to the California Federation of Teachers, which consists of 120,000 members, and United Teachers Los Angeles, California’s largest local teachers union, for your endorsement during this campaign. I am honored to have the support of both organizations as we continue our push to become this state’s next attorney general.
Finally, teachers could not do what they do without the support of classified employees in the schools – school secretaries, librarians, janitors, cooks, bus drivers, playground attendants and others. Thanks to the hard working classified employees who are integral to our schools. And thanks to the Classified School Employees Association (CSEA) for your support of my candidacy too!
