This week’s Council recognitions!

“Leo Zavala Day” 
This week we recognized a phenomenal resident of Fresno, Mr. Leo Zavala for his work in providing much needed interpreting services to our community over the last 40+ years.
We thank him for his service and wish him the best in his retirement!

“Breastfeeding Awareness Month” 
This week we also recognized the importance of “Breastfeeding Awareness Month” in the City of Fresno. During my first term in office I partnered with First 5 Fresno County to open a Breastfeeding-Friendly room at Fresno City Hall! 

“Recognition of District 1 Intern, Pawan Brar” 
We want to give a big thanks to Pawan Brar, District 1 Summer Intern, for her service to the residents of District 1. We wish her the best of luck on her last year at Santa Clara University where she will be receiving her B.S. in Finance!
