This January, as Trump’s shutdown dragged on to be the longest in history, Democrats — led by Speaker Pelosi — came together with working Americans to end it.

Here in California, we swore in one of the most diverse sets of statewide office holders in history, led by Governor Newsom. And we’re thrilled to share that Attorney General Xavier Becerra will be giving the Spanish language response to Trump’s State of the Union. We’re proud that they’ve wasted no time fighting fiercely for our progressive values here in California.

But we must keep up the fight against Trump and the GOP’s racist and hateful attacks on our communities and our values, and defeat them even more resoundingly in 2020.
