Trump is the most anti-environment president we’ve ever had. Period.

He calls the global climate crisis “a hoax” concocted by the Chinese. He’s rolled back major Obama-era environmental policies including the Paris Climate Agreement and the Clean Power Plan. And in my home state of California, he’s still pushing for more offshore drilling and fracking near our national parks.

When it comes to climate change, Trump and his allies in Congress may have their heads in the sand, but here’s the truth: I represent a key battleground district in 2020. They’re coming after my seat to clear the way for their backward environmental policies whether we like it or not. If we’re going to stop them, I’ll need your help:

The good news is our Democratic majority has made historic progress bringing the climate crisis back into the national conversation. We just passed major legislation to reduce carbon emissions — the first pro-environment bill to come out of Congress in a decade.

But our fight to combat climate change still has stiff opposition. We need to make it clear we’ll fight to protect our historic gains in the House so we can keep moving forward on this issue.
