The Trump administration just sued California

Yesterday, California Governor Jerry Brown signed legislation that would save net neutrality in California, protecting free and open internet access.

Within hours, the Trump administration sued to block the law — and as California’s Attorney General, I’m doing everything in my power to fight back.

Our state will not allow a handful of power brokers to dictate what information Californians can access online or the speed at which websites load.

Instead, we are committed to protecting freedom of expression, innovation and fairness.

When President Trump’s FCC decided to roll back federal net neutrality laws, we sued to defend the free and open internet. That case is still ongoing — and now, we’re going to fight the Trump administration’s new lawsuit as hard as we can.
