Between Passover and Easter, I know you would rather be spending time with family and friends, so let me start by thanking you for opening this email.
We’ve been working our hearts out to get our bold, progressive message in front of as many Californians as possible.
Our first public fundraising deadline is tonight at midnight, and how much we raise will be absolutely critical to our campaign’s future.
So I’m making my last personal ask of you — please chip in $5 or whatever you can afford right now.
I wish I didn’t have to fundraise to be competitive in this election. Believe me: I’d rather be spending 100% of my time talking about safeguarding our environment, protecting our immigrant brothers and sisters from this racist administration, or fighting for good jobs for hard working Californians.
But we’ll be using your money to continue to talk to voters from corner to corner of this state. And you can trust me on this: we won’t be wasting a cent.
We don’t need to match my opponent’s fundraising — we can win this campaign with thousands of contributions of $5, $10, and $25 from folks like you.
