Thank you so very much for your support of my candidacy for Attorney General.
While we did not reach our goal of qualifying for the November general election, I am inspired by the activism, dedication to making a difference, and idealism of our supporters.
Our grassroots campaign succeeded in bringing together a committed and compassionate group of Californians — including you — who displayed a tremendous amount of support for our cause.
My goal to become the state’s top law enforcement official came out of a desire to continue to advance a progressive vision of social, economic, civil and criminal justice, as I have for my over 30 years of public interest lawyering and public service. I am passionate about the issues that affect our state and its people.
There is still a lot of work to be done to realize the dream of a better California. I’ll never stop fighting for our shared progressive values.
Once again, thank you for your support. And thank you for all you are doing and will continue to do to make a difference. It has been a privilege to have your support.
