The Fresno County Democratic Central Committee has not endorsed any candidate in this race.

We can talk all we want, and tweet all we want — but I lead by example.

Republicans in the Senate promised better options for healthcare, but then almost unanimously voted to proceed with a plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act and take care away from millions this week.

I went to Bakersfield and talked directly with folks who will suffer if the Republicans succeed. And with Governor Brown, I’m working to offer the real solutions that Californians need.

But if we don’t stop the Senate from voting to repeal the Affordable Care Act, our work will become much more challenging. That’s why we need to build pressure now.

It’s time to tell the Senate to show real leadership and stop repeal of the Affordable Care Act. Add your name today.

One in seven Californians receives care from community clinics — four of which have already closed since President Trump took office.

The repeal of the ACA would make the situation worse:

·         Federally Qualified Health Centers around California would see a $3.8 billion economic reduction, raising costs for everyone.

·         27,000 Californians would lose their jobs in health centers alone.

·         An estimated 2.4 million Californians could lose coverage.

This type of ill-conceived policy will hurt people all over California and destroy our budget. It is fiscally irresponsible and morally corrupt. Real leaders create common sense policy that ensures greater access and keeps premiums low.

I’ve worked with Governor Brown to create a proposal that will help offset losses for clinics around the state and help keep costs low if this bill manages to pass through congress. By doing so, we can ensure that Californians will be able to obtain affordable health care and clinics around the state will not have to close their doors.

But solving this crisis in the long-term means keeping the pressure on Congress now, before they make the situation even worse.

Add your name to help me keep up the fight against DC’s attempts to take away affordable healthcare.

Thank you for your support,

John
