I’ve had such a memorable summer traveling up and down California on my Summer Road Trip.
From Siskiyou to Inyo, and Kern to Modoc, I have been so energized meeting with hundreds of community leaders and seeing diverse communities and ways of life all across California these past two months. I am so grateful for all the inspiring and informative conversations I’ve had, and I promise to carry the issues you shared with me forward. As we get ready for fall and the next phase of our campaign, I wanted to share with you just a few of my memorable snapshots from my time on the road this summer: With Plumas County Democratic Central Committee Chair Faith Strailey — and their wonderful signs! With Zoe, who I met while discussing the rising cost of housing in El Dorado County with her grandmother Sherry. With farmworker Juan Carlos Vargas, who works 12 to 14-hour days at an alfalfa ranch in Lassen County. Meeting with the San Luis Obispo County Democratic Party (SLOCDP) — thanks for the great conversation! In Mi-Wuk Village in Tuolumne County, where pine bark beetles have devastated neighborhoods. At the National Chavez Center in Kern County — in the famous words of Dolores Huerta herself, sí, se puede! Thank you so much for following along with my Summer Road Trip. We’ll keep you updated on our campaign’s incredible momentum, and please be sure to follow my campaign accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Yours, P.S. Have you had a chance to fill out my Summer Road Trip Survey on the issues that matter to you and your family? We’re closing the survey this week, so be sure to fill it out today.
