Yesterday was the Polk County Steak Fry in Des Moines — all the Democratic candidates for president marched into the fairgrounds and grilled some steaks. It’s an unforgettable event.

First, Kamala met with McDonald’s workers striking for a $15 minimum wage.

In the meantime, our organizers and volunteers were getting ready at the fairgrounds for Kamala to arrive.

And when Kamala got there, boy, did she show up.

She spoke with supporters in “Kamala’s Corner” about winning this primary and taking our fight straight to Donald Trump.

And then — of course — a dance party broke out.

And finally, we got to the main event: the steak fry.

Michael, we’re really growing our operation here on the ground in Iowa. We’re hiring dozens of organizers who are going to hit the ground running, knocking on doors and sharing Kamala’s message with caucus-goers across the state. And Kamala herself will be here in Iowa each week in October.

What I’m saying is: you’re going to be hearing from me a lot more!
