State Senator Anna Caballero Endorses Jim Costa for Re-election to Congress
Today, Congressman Jim Costa’s campaign announced that State Senator Anna Caballero (D-Salinas) has endorsed Congressman Costa for re-election to the United States Congress.
“Jim Costa has been a longtime champion for delivering a fair share of resources to the Valley, and has made access to safe, reliable water and clean air a top priority in Congress,” said Senator Anna Caballero. “We need Jim in Congress continuing his work and achieving more victories for the Valley.”
Senator Caballero was elected to the State Senate in 2018, representing portions of Fresno, Madera, Merced, Monterey, San Benito and Stanislaus Counties. Prior to serving in the State Senate, Caballero was a member of the State Assembly and previously served as Mayor and a Councilmember of the City of Salinas.
Congressman Costa said: “I am proud to receive the endorsement of Senator Anna Caballero. Senator Caballero has been a key ally in protecting and improving the lives of Valley families, and I am looking forward to continuing to work with her to deliver even more for our region and California.”

Jim Costa represents California’s 16th Congressional District, which includes portions of Fresno, Madera and Merced Counties. He was re-elected to Congress in November 2018 by a decisive 15% margin over his opponent. During his service in Congress, Costa has delivered over $300 million for veterans’ services, expanded access to higher education, and improved access to healthcare.
