Here are just a few highlights from the #CADEM19 Convention Weekend:
Delegates Elected a New Party Chair
Rusty Hicks won the election for California Democratic Party State Chair, garnering 57% of the vote. As we gear up for 2020, we are thrilled to have him lead our Party’s work to keep the #BlueWaveRolling.
Elected Officials, Progressive Leaders, and Presidential Candidates Addressed Delegates
One of our favorite parts of Convention was gathering together to be inspired by our incredible elected officials here in California — including Governor Gavin Newsom, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and so many more!
This year, we were also pleased to welcome 14 presidential candidates who came to address our delegates in beautiful San Francisco. Ahead of our March primary, it was exciting to hear their respective visions for how we can best move our country forward — and, of course, defeat Donald Trump.
