Right now, priority number one is to restore the rule of law in Washington and get back to respecting our democratic institutions at all levels of government. Not only does Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation pose a serious threat to Democratic values like getting big money out of politics, protecting a woman’s right to choose, and ensuring the rights of workers — Kavanaugh believes that sitting presidents should be protected from criminal investigations and prosecution.
Right now, Republicans are rushing to confirm him while simultaneously trying to suppress up to a hundred thousand documents with details about Kavanaugh’s time in the White House. That’s not okay.
