News just broke that the Trump Administration has taken dangerous steps in their expansion of offshore oil drilling on our coasts. The Department of the Interior has given drillers nearly 1,700 WAIVERS to bypass Obama-era safety rules issued after the BP oil spill.
Yet again, this Administration is putting oil companies’ profits ahead of the health and safety of our coastal regions. It’s reckless, it’s short-sighted, and it needs to stop — NOW.
