I am reaching out this afternoon to ask you to sign my urgent petition in opposition to the latest Republican attack on our health care. This is a developing situation, and I hope you’ll take a moment to read this.
Here’s what we have heard: the White House and conservative groups will unveil a new health care repeal plan later this month. The plan guts pre-existing condition protections, slashes funding to help lower-income Americans afford health insurance, and it repeals Medicaid expansion.
Republican leaders could include this in a budget resolution soon, believing they can ram this bill without the public finding out. But if we stand up right now and make our voices heard loud and clear, we can again defeat this catastrophic health care plan:
There is so much more we should be doing to guarantee health care as a right for every single person in this country, including Medicare for All.
But we cannot afford to sit on the sidelines while this Administration and conservatives in Congress attempt to sabotage the Affordable Care Act and take health insurance away from millions of people.
