Senator Harris, Mayor Breed, ACLU stand up against attacks

The false attacks against me in TV commercials and mail pieces are endless.  More and more leaders and organizations are stepping up to call out the lies.

Last week Mayor London Breed, along with parents and former students from the school district which I served, disavowed the attacks in a press conference.

Now the ACLU has put out a statement rejecting misleading campaign mailers that attack my record.  I’m proud to have a 100% legislative record with the ACLU.

Even our Senator Kamala Harris has spoken out against the attacks and the money being spent against me: “Recently more than $20 million has been spent in the Superintendent of Public Instruction race to attack my friend Tony Thurmond’s record. Well I’ve worked with Tony and no one is more qualified to lead our state’s schools.” – Senator Kamala Harris

We don’t back down to billionaires with agendas to privatize public education.  We fight back with the truth.
