Southern California Armenian Democrats Says Ricardo Lara is “True Friend of Armenian Community”

LONG BEACH, CA– Securing more critical support in the race for California State Insurance Commissioner, today State Senator Ricardo Lara garnered the endorsement of the Southern California Armenian Democrats, the largest Armenian-American Democratic club in California.

In a statement released following the announced endorsement, SCAD President Arthur Charchian exclaimed:

“Throughout his political career, Ricardo Lara has been a true friend of the Armenian community as well as a progressive champion for working families. From passing anti-discrimination legislation, to authoring single-payer health care bill SB 562, he has consistently provided a voice for the voiceless in our communities. Southern California Armenian Democrats are proud to endorse his campaign for Insurance Commissioner and we are confident that he will continue to be a strong voice for Armenian-Americans.”
