Jones, Becerra, Early and Bailey set for BizFed Attorney General debate on Tuesday
Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones, along with fellow Democratic candidate Xavier Becerra, and Republican candidates Eric Early and Steven Bailey, will participate in the BizFed Institute Attorney General debate on Tuesday.
The BizFed debate – the first of two Attorney General debates on Tuesday – will be held at the Southern California Gas Company Energy Resource Center at 1:30 p.m.

The second debate will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Barbara and Art Culver Center of the Arts on the campus of UC Riverside. Jones has challenged each of the three other candidates to participate in six different debates, but Tuesday’s two debates are the only ones that they have agreed to so far.
Each candidate will have ample opportunity to share their specific views regarding their immediate priorities should they be elected California’s next Attorney General, as well as point out the differences between themselves and their opponents.
It is important that voters have access to as much information as possible regarding the candidates vying for such a vital position. Never has the Attorney General played as critical a role in protecting our state as it will today, as the Trump administration continues to wage war on California. We must also tackle health care reform, criminal justice reform, the opioid epidemic, and more.
This may be the only opportunity for voters to hear the candidates respond to each other and present their respective views on the critical office of Attorney General.
