We are excited to announce that yesterday, the State Center Community College District Board unanimously approved the adoption of a resolution authorizing the Design-Build Procurement Process for the Fresno City College Parking Structure. The parking structure will add 1,000 parking stalls for students, staff, and faculty at Fresno City College. This is a step closer to help mitigate the neighborhood parking issues that have existed for decades.
The next steps include a bidding process to identify a construction contract to be presented to the State Center Community College District Board in December and construction is estimated to begin in 2020.
I want to give a big thanks to the residents who attended this meeting and those who have attended our community meetings to express concerns about parking and littering issues in the surrounding neighborhoods.
