Formidable fundraising numbers, dominant debate performance, and a lock on endorsements point to front-runner status for Bliatout.
FRESNO, CA — The Bobby Bliatout for Congress campaign announced a third quarter (Sept. 30) fundraising mark of more than $200,000. His strong fundraising quarter, more than $70,000 the past month alone, combined with his virtual sweep of endorsements among Fresno- and Tulare County-elected Democrats, have put Bliatout in a strong position to win next year’s Democratic primary and challenge Devin Nunes.
“The more chaos and untruth coming from the White House and from Devin Nunes, the more motivated Bobby gets. His commitment to ensuring the Valley has intelligent and rational leadership is passionate and focused,” said Bliatout campaign manager Tom Dallas.
Bobby has been endorsed for Congress by the following elected Valley Democrats:
Jose Sigala, Mayor of Tulare
Greg Gomez, Mayor of Farmersville
Ruben Macareno, Farmersville City Council
Miguel Arias, Fresno City Council Member
Brandon Vang, Sanger Unified School Board Trustee
John Leal, State Center Community College District Trustee
Dr. Perla Soria, Lindsay Unified School District #4 Trustee
Laura Soria Cortes, Lindsay City Council Member
Ivet Soria, Lindsay Hospital Board Member
Eliseo Gamino, Firebaugh Unified School District Trustee
Espi Sandoval, Kerman City Council Member
Jose Ornelas, San Joaquin City Council Member
Steve Ly, Mayor of Elk Grove
Allen Warren, Sacramento City Councilmember
“All of us who have endorsed Bobby are really inspired by the momentum for Bobby’s candidacy. Bobby is right on the issues, he’s dominated the debates against his opponent, he has a lock on key endorsements, and now, his fundraising is showing some real aptitude. Everyone is very fired up about having Bobby be the candidate to take on Nunes,” said Fresno City Councilman Miguel Arias.
The son of Hmong immigrants, Bobby Bliatout’s family were American patriots long before they reached the United States. His family fought alongside American soldiers to combat communist totalitarianism during the Vietnam War.
Bobby lives in Fresno with his wife Mouang and 14 year-old-son Bryce, while his eldest son Jarik is attending Fresno City College. Mouang works as a registered nurse and Bobby serves as the top executive at Health and Life Organization, Inc. (H.A.L.O.) and Greater Fresno Health Organization (GFHO). Between the two health care organizations, they provide medical and dental services to more than 100,000 patients and employ nearly 300 people. Nearly 30% of Bobby’s patients were covered under the Affordable Care Act. When Congress and Devin Nunes decided to make a political football out of people’s health care, Bobby decided he needed to make his voice heard and run for Congress.
