Civil Rights Legend Dolores Huerta Endorses Bobby Bliatout for Congress

Dolores Huerta calls Bliatout, “The most substantive candidate and the one that gives Democrats the best chance to beat Devin Nunes.”

Fresno, CA- Civil rights icon, co-founder of the United Farm Workers and lifelong Central Valley resident Dolores Huerta has endorsed Democrat Bobby Bliatout for Congress.

Huerta characterized Bliatout as “smart, honest and empathetic,” saying, “I have fought many fights against the forces of injustice. Still, removing Devin Nunes from office is one of the most important of those fights. So endorsing the candidate most likely to beat Nunes in a general election is critical. That’s why I am encouraging everyone to vote for nonprofit health care executive Bobby Bliatout for Congress.”

Bliatout, who is the CFO of several nonprofit health care clinics across the San Joaquin Valley, said, “I am grateful and honored to have earned Dolores Huerta’s endorsement. Her deep commitment to justice and human dignity is an example for all of us, and if I am so honored as to be elected to Congress, that example will motivate me to fight for a more just health care system for every Valley resident.”

To date Bliatout has dominated local endorsements, including Victor Lopez, mayor of Orange Cove; Jose Sigala, mayor of Tulare; Greg Gomez, mayor of Farmersville; Ruben Macareno, Farmersville city council; Miguel Arias, Fresno City council member; Blong Xiong, Former Fresno city council Member; Brandon Vang, Sanger Unified School District Board trustee; John Leal, State Center Community College District trustee; Dr. Perla Soria, Lindsay Unified School District #4 trustee; Laura Soria Cortes, Lindsay city council member; Ivet Soria, Lindsay Hospital board member; Eliseo Gamino, Firebaugh Unified School District trustee; Espi Sandoval, Kerman City council member; Jose Ornelas, San Joaquin city council Member; Steve Ly, mayor of Elk Grove; and Allen Warren, Sacramento city council member.
