Esmeralda Soria announces the support of several Central Valley Councilmembers and Mayors who strongly believe she is the deserving candidate to represent California’s 16th Congressional District.
FRESNO, C.A. – Local Councilmembers and Mayors from every county within California’s 16th Congressional District and throughout the Central Valley stand in support of Esmeralda Soria for Congress, showcasing that she has the local support she needs to beat a 40-year politician.
Her dedication to fighting for the underdog, her track record of listening directly to constituents, and her effective leadership has earned her the support from Councilmembers and Mayors throughout the Central Valley who are ready for change at the federal level. This endorsement shows that she is connected to her community while her opponent is connected to the corporations.
“As a Merced City Councilmember, I stand with Esmeralda Soria for Congress. I wholeheartedly believe that she is the voice for all people and she will fight to bring valuable resources to our forgotten communities in South Merced. Our District needs a new perspective. Problems here in Merced have not been addressed by Costa,” said Merced City Councilmember, Fernando Echevarria.
“Esmeralda Soria has been a champion for working families by creating thousands of local jobs, securing affordable housing and protecting our Dreamers. Costa’s 40 year political career has benefited from insider corporate interests at the expense of farm workers and communities that continue to live paycheck to paycheck. Soria is the leader that will put working families first. We need her in Congress now,” said Fresno City Councilmember, Miguel Arias.
“It is with great honor that I stand with Esmeralda Soria for Congress. She is a proven leader and advocate for our most vulnerable communities here in Madera. Her forward vision and dedication is what we need from all leaders in Congress during these divided times,” said Madera City Councilmember, Steve Montes.
“I’m proud to have received the endorsements of local Councilmembers and Mayors throughout the Central Valley. At the local level, we have worked hard to address the issues that affect our hardworking families day to day. I will continue to work alongside them in Congress to improve the overall quality of life of all our residents,” said Esmeralda Soria.
