Remember how you felt the morning after Election Day last November? Don’t let it happen again.
Yes, it’s been a year since Donald Trump was elected President of the United States. It’s been an extremely hard year. And I know I’ve been outraged by many of Trump’s actions. Among others, he’s been attacking our democracy and our fundamental right to vote since before he even took office.
He remains in denial about Russia’s interference in the election. He’s lied about winning the popular vote. He is conspiring with his sham voter fraud commission and Attorney General Sessions to attack our right to vote.
I am running for reelection as Secretary of State of California and I promise that I will keep fighting Trump’s attacks on our right to vote.
As California Secretary of State, I have stood up to Trump at every turn on the issue of voting rights and election integrity. And I propose we go further. I am sponsoring legislation to invest in the modernization of California’s voting equipment. I believe that every person that is eligible should be able to easily register to vote, cast their ballot, and rest assured that their ballot is counted as cast.
Trump, on the other hand, is working to suppress the vote because he knows that the more people vote, the worse it is for him and his divisive, harmful agenda.
