I love California, and one of my favorite things to do is travel the state and personally connect with people.
Over the years, I have discovered some of the best policy ideas tucked away in local communities. I have also learned that what works well for students in Los Angeles isn’t always the right fit for kids in Mendocino. It seems simple, but some politicians never realize this fact because they don’t travel the state. I do.
This past week on the road I went up north to Mendocino, stopped in Sonoma, held events in Davis, Sacramento and Piedmont, and dropped down south to visit Los Angeles and San Bernardino. Here are some pictures!
