We started at Gibson’s Bookstore in Concord, where I had a great time talking with Granite Staters.
Then, we headed to Portsmouth for our first town hall in New Hampshire — the largest so far in this primary.
We talked about numerous issues critical to the future of our nation: passing gun safety legislation; giving middle-class families a hand up and ensuring wages meet the cost of living, gas, rent, and utilities; making Election Day a national holiday; the Green New Deal; and more.
The place was packed! So many people came out that the fire marshal made us close the doors, so I went outside to talk to the hundreds who braved the snow.
This morning, we joined the Politics & Eggs series — a forum to meet with local leaders and talk about the issues that matter to the people. And, of course, I signed some of their famous wooden eggs:
New Hampshire, thank you for sharing your stories, thoughts, and hopes for the future of our nation. I can’t wait to be back.
Sincerely,
— Kamala Harris
