Congressman Jim Costa Releases Campaign Fundraising Numbers Showing $575,000 Cash-On-Hand
Today, Congressman Jim Costa’s momentum in the campaign for the 16th Congressional District reached a new high as his campaign reported a campaign war chest of over $575,000, with over $269,000 raised in the most recent period alone. These fundraising numbers, combined with the early support of the region and state’s most influential leaders and organizations, firmly place Congressman Costa in the position of front-runner in the race for CD 16.
Congressman Costa said: “My most recent campaign finance filing will show that we have amassed over half-a-million dollars in the bank, representing the broad and diverse coalition of support I have earned throughout our Valley. As my campaign continues to press forward, I will continue to represent our Valley’s issues with the respect, passion and integrity they deserve, deploying our resources to ensure everyone has a voice in our political system.”
From strong fundraising numbers to endorsements from key leaders and organizations, Congressman Costa’s momentum continues to swell. He has received the early and unequivocal support of Governor Gavin Newsom, Lt. Governor Eleni Kounalakis, Attorney General Xavier Becerra, US Senators Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris, Equality PAC, Fresno County Democratic Women in Action, Black Women Organized for Political Action, the International Association of Fire Fighters, and others.
