Just one day after TJ Cox announced he’s backing the impeachment inquiry of Donald Trump, National Republicans launched an all-out smear campaign attacking him.

We can’t say we’re surprised, but we are on high alert.

In the last 48 hours, Republicans have had their biggest fundraising haul of the entire election cycle. We know for a fact California’s vulnerable Democrats are at the top of their list to go after. So we expect more outside cash to begin pouring into CA-21.

Impeachment is going to be the GOP’s new rallying cry in TJ’s district.

The truth is, with all the spin and mis-information being spewed by media outlets like Breitbart and FOX, TJ knew this would be a risk.

But this was never about what made sense politically — it’s about doing the right thing and defending our democracy and the rule of law. No one should be above the law — especially our elected officials.
