Marking the one-year anniversary of the Parkland shooting

To honor their memory, we say the names of those who were lost to us.

Today, we mark the one-year anniversary of the Parkland shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, which claimed the lives of 14 students as well as 3 adults.

As we honor their memory, we also must organize. A group of surviving Parkland students is currently raising funds to gather petition signatures in order to place an assault weapons ban on the Florida ballot in 2020.

Here at the California Democratic Party, we are honored to support their cause in our quest to end gun violence — here in California and across the country.

On this one-year anniversary of the shooting, we urge you to join us in honoring the memory of the Parkland victims by making a donation towards surviving students’ work to ban assault weapons.
