The seriousness of erstated. The culture of corruption that Donald Trump brings with him everywhere is a disgrace to the presidency and a threat to our democracy.

Democrats/Join us.

Just this afternoon, a jury found Paul Manafort guilty of eight counts of financial fraud, and Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to tax evasion, bank fraud, and campaign finance violations.

Paul Manafort wasn’t just Trump’s campaign chair, he was one of his most trusted advisors. The two have known each other for nearly four decades. And no one was closer to Donald Trump than Michael Cohen, his longtime lawyer and “fixer” who was at the center of his inner circle. In his plea today, Cohen admitted to breaking the law at Trump’s direction in order to influence the 2016 presidential election.

As Trump escalates his attacks on the special counsel’s investigation, Democrats are standing up for the rule of law. We must defend our democracy from this president and his cronies — we’ve seen time and again just how far they’re willing to go to attack it. The more Democrats we elect this November, the better we will be able to hold this administration accountable. Today is a critical time to show you’re part of that effort, so I’m asking:

The seriousness of today’s developments cannot be overstated. The culture of corruption that Donald Trump brings with him everywhere is a disgrace to the presidency and a threat to our democracy — and if we don’t do everything we can to fight back, the consequences could be catastrophic.

This November’s elections are our opportunity to fight back and reclaim our democracy, which is why I am counting on you right now:

Tom
