We’re excited to share the news: the Professional Engineers in California Government (PECG) — with its 13,000 state-employed engineers and related professionals — has endorsed Xavier Becerra’s candidacy to continue as state Attorney General.
PECG members are Californians who inspect and design our highways and bridges, ensure our schools and hospitals are safe during earthquakes, protect our air, water and beaches – and more.
Xavier has prioritized public safety and public health as our Attorney General. In fact, he has taken the Trump Administration to Court more than a dozen times to protect our environment — and secured at least eight legal victories to help keep our air and water clean.
PECG joins a growing list of labor endorsements for Xavier, including:
AFSCME California; California Teachers Association; Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California; California Professional Firefighters; Communications Workers of America; California State Building and Construction Trades Council; California State Pipe Trades Council; SEIU California; Laborers International Union of North America; National Union of Healthcare Workers; Equality California; the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association, and the California School Employees Association, among others.
As Chair of PECG PAC Robert Lumahan said to Xavier, “The Professional Engineers in California Government is proud to endorse your campaign for California Attorney Genera. Given your proven commitment to public servants, we know that you will continue to serve our state with distinction after your election.”
