BIG ANNOUNCEMENT – ORGANIZING ACADEMY FOR THE PEOPLE
I am super excited to announce that here in California, we are launching the very first Organizing Academy for the People. It is a 9-week intensive volunteer training course that takes an empowering approach to community based and digital organizing in support of Kamala Harris.
Volunteer trainees attend an in-person launch and receive hands on training and coaching from Kamala Harris for the People California and National staff and learn how to organize their communities and/or campuses.
Whether you are a high school or college student, a new Kamala supporter, already a leader in your community with your Team for the People, you are welcome to apply.
If you are on Team Kamala and know of people who have been waiting to get involved in a more time-intensive way, especially students just coming back to campus, please share!
Applicants must commit to at least 15 hours per week, be available for an in-person training in Oakland on October 12th or Los Angeles on October 13th, as well as via webinar Wednesday evenings.
