When I decided to run for Congress, I knew I’d be facing an uphill battle. I’m not only going up against a 12-year incumbent, but also a Washington political establishment at the mercy of special interests. It’s a daunting endeavor, but this is a fight that is too important not to take on. And it’s a fight that I decided to take on while making sure I am staying true to my values – which is why I am not accepting any corporate PAC money.
Washington is broken, corrupted by the special interests, and the families here in the Valley are paying the price. We need new leadership and a new voice for our communities in Congress.
I will be that new voice and fight for a brighter future in the Valley for everyone. I am committed to fixing our broken health care system, making sure students can graduate without crippling debt and the Valley continues to provide opportunities that allow families to get to and stay in the middle class.
