THE CALIFORNIA POOR PEOPLE’S CAMPAIGN
INVITES YOU TO
THE TRUTH AND POVERTY BUS TOUR
In a country with 140 million poor and low income residents, we declare a STATE OF EMERGENCY!
Starting on April 3rd, 2019, The California Poor People’s Campaign will travel across our state on a National Emergency Truth and Poverty Tour to shine a light on the plight, fight, and insight of the poor across California, and the real national emergencies that require immediate attention.
Our California Truth and Poverty Tour will break through the narrative about who is hurt by systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation, and the war economy/militarism by creating a platform for a diversity of impacted people. It will show that we are organizing against the conditions that impact us most and that we know the solutions we need, and we will expose the extent of the moral crisis our state and nation is in.
Come join us on the tour when we come to your region, or for the whole tour. We will be holding Public Poor People’s Hearings and site visits in eight regions across California from April 3rd to April 13th. On April 8th, we will be inviting the entire state and all of our regions who are organizing tour stops to join together in Fresno for a Statewide Public Poor People’s Hearing. Here is our tour schedule below.
Please RSVP to join the whole tour, an individual tour stop, or reach out to us with questions by clicking here.
We hope you’ll come out and join us as we listen deeply to our most vulnerable leaders and communities in our state. There are countless ways to participate and help make history on our tour. If there is any way you can contribute to the tour as well, whether by offering lodgings for our traveling leaders, transportation or volunteering, please reach out.
If you’re able to give to the tour financially, we would really appreciate the needed support! All hands on deck are needed to fuel our statewide effort to shine a light on the evils of racism, poverty, ecological devastation, the war economy, and this country’s distorted moral narrative.
Forward together, not one step back,
California Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival
