Thank you for your enthusiasm and interest in our plans for the Democratic National Convention.
You may have now heard that our National Convention will primarily be a virtual event. All four nights of Convention programming will be anchored in Milwaukee from August 17-20, 2020. Programming will include both live broadcasts and curated content originating from Milwaukee and other satellite locations across the country.
Convention planners and public health professionals have determined that state delegations will not travel to Milwaukee and will conduct their official convention business remotely. The DNC is working on plans for remote participation for all Delegates, Standing Committee Members and Party Leaders.A process is being developed to ensure all Delegates can cast their votes on all Convention matters remotely – including nomination of our Party’s candidate for President.
Please know that plans are being developed in consultation with national and public health officials and centered with your health and safety as priority. We’ll be in touch with updates, more information about remote voting and event details as soon as possible.
As a reminder, 132 days until Election Day. Let’s get to work!
