If you’re like me, the level of corruption surrounding Donald Trump makes you worried about the future of our democracy. What’s happening in our country is alarming. But let me be absolutely clear about something: Our country and our politics aren’t going to fix themselves. It’s up to us. Nothing will change unless we act — if we don’t, who will? Right now, here’s the best way to do that: Take back Congress in November.
With all the chaos of the Trump administration, it’s easy to get distracted, but we can’t lose sight of the big picture. We need to elect more Democrats to office, and we have a historic opportunity to do just that in just 76 days. We need to elect a Democratic Congress, Democratic governors, Democratic state legislators, Democratic mayors, Democratic city councils, and Democratic school board members. Then we need to go elect a Democratic president in 2020. Together we’re building an organization that can do all of those things, but none of this is inevitable. Republicans are going to fight tooth and nail to win these elections, and they’re ready to do whatever it takes — you need look no further than Michael Cohen if you don’t believe me. Coming up short this November would be disastrous for our country, but with your help we will be prepared to take on the GOP and win. Thank you for your support.
