Many of us know people working two or three jobs just to get by. Raising the federal minimum wage would put more money in the pockets of hardworking families and help lift more than a million Americans out of poverty.
I was proud to join union workers and Dolores Huerta this week to call for fair wages for workers in the Central Valley.
In Congress, I will fight to raise the federal minimum wage, pass universal healthcare, and support a workers’ bill of rights.
The US Senate can take the first step by passing the Raise the Wage Act to give 34 Million Americans making minimum wage a raise.
