Last week, Michael, people like you and your neighbors in California united to protect affordable health care for every American. We saved Obamacare because Democrats came together to make our voices heard. It was grassroots organizing at its finest.
But we can’t spike the football. Not yet. Republicans are licking their wounds and regrouping, and they won’t rest until the Affordable Care Act is gone for good — so neither can we.
On Friday night, I hit the airport and headed straight to Michigan so I could join Tom to meet with local advocates and activists. We still have a lot of tough fights ahead of us — fights that millions of hardworking Americans are counting on us to win — which means we have to keep our heads in the game.
So I’m gonna ask you for a favor. Tomorrow is the first quarterly deadline of 2017, and I want to make sure we give it everything we’ve got between now and midnight tomorrow so Democrats can close March strong and step into April ready to keep fighting.
