Thank you for everything you’ve done to build our movement — I’m grateful down to my toes.
We’re growing, and it’s thanks to you, but we have a powerfully important new goal to hit before the end of August. That’s why I’m about to ask if you can make a donation to our campaign before this week’s fundraising deadline.
This month, we released new plans and organized to reach communities in every corner of this country.
Hitting our August goal is how we keep doing this work — door by door, family to family — to create big, structural change. And the only way we’re raising money on this campaign is through grassroots contributions from people like you.
Everyone owns an equal piece of this movement, and every donation makes a difference on this campaign. So I’m asking: Can you please pitch in $3 today to help hit this goal?

By building a movement with grassroots donors, we’ll win in 2020 and stop Washington from only working for the rich and powerful. And how we raise our money is a big piece of that. It’s been estimated that up to 70% of a congressional candidate’s time is spent with potential wealthy donors — trying to get them to give, or as a reward for doing so.
It’s safe to assume that goes for presidential campaigns, too.
But on this campaign, we’re doing things differently. I don’t host any private fundraisers where you can only meet me if you can write a big check. That means I can spend time with our grassroots movement across the country. Just this month, I’ve met up with supporters at the State Fair in Iowa, on a giant field in the Twin Cities, in an auditorium in Los Angeles, and more.
We’re spending our time taking selfies, doing pinky promises, and calling up grassroots donors. We’re releasing plans — for criminal justice reform and for our rural economy — that tackle the problems we face head on, instead of just nibbling around the edges.
If you ask me, that’s what a campaign for president should be all about. Talking with people about real solutions to real problems. And getting organized at the grassroots level to make change happen.
But this type of campaign is only possible if everyone who is able pitches in what they can.
Please make a contribution to our campaign before this week’s end-of-month fundraising deadline, and let’s keep building this incredible movement together.
Thanks for being a part of this,
Elizabeth
