I’ll put it bluntly: Qualifying for the debates under the new DNC rules isn’t going to be easy.
Not only do we need to reach 130,000 individuals who have chipped in to support this campaign, but we have to demonstrate that our support is distributed across the country — with at least 400 donors in 20 states.
I talk about this a lot because there’s no Plan B if we fall short of these thresholds.Being on stage, talking to the entire country about issues and ideas that might otherwise get left behind — that’s the way a campaign like ours breaks through.
And the truth is, unlike some other campaigns, we refuse to take checks from corporate PACs and D.C. lobbyists. We can’t just cash big checks from billionaires to help find new donors. We’re counting entirely on people like you.
