Hi there,

I just signed the No Fossil Fuel Money pledge. This is a commitment that our campaign will not be financed by contributions from the PACs, the executives, or the front groups of the fossil fuel industry.

Climate change is one of the most important issues facing the world, so I want to make sure that our campaign is leading by example.

My team filmed me signing the pledge in our South Bend headquarters, and we’re already following up on next steps. Please watch and share with your friends and family.

Climate change is a major national emergency. Its destructive power is comparable to a world war or a great depression. We have to act right now.

America has a great tradition of figuring out how to do things — from ending the Great Depression to going to the moon. As a nation, we need to take action. The timeline is not up to us. We can see the climate disaster coming. Shame on us if we don’t act.

Signing this pledge is a no-brainer, but it’s just one small step. It’s time for bold action.
