SEIU California recently endorsed Kevin’s bold vision for progress and his campaign for U.S. Senate, and I wanted to share a bit about why:
When it comes to the most challenging issues facing California, Kevin is our champion.
He led the fight for a $15 minimum wage, and carried it across the finish line.
He fought for economic justice against employers skimming money out of their workers’ paychecks, authoring and passing legislation that cracked down on wage theft.
He has a proven record of ensuring that all Californians — regardless of their zip code — benefit from policies that clean our air and our water; correcting injustices in our state’s approach to fighting climate change and protecting our environment.
And he fought valiantly to protect our friends and families when the Trump Administration moved to openly attack immigrant communities.
Simply put, Kevin has stood with us and our California values his entire career, and we’re so proud to endorse his campaign to be our next U.S. Senator.
In addition to his legislative accomplishments, Kevin has spent a lot of time with SEIU California members, and spent a day walking in our shoes. He heard our concerns over growing inequities in our state, and we heard his commitment to stand with us to fight injustice. It’s clear that he shares our dreams.
Even in these troubling times, it’s critical that we stand together, embrace our diversity, grow our economy, and promote equal opportunity for all. It’s critical that we continue this fight to grow our California dream in America.
